  WORKSHOP SPEAKERS
  Wes Coddington

Wes is a catalyst, inspirer and advocate seeking to motivate the church body to be all that Christ has created it to be. His passion is to see the world being won to Christ through the incarnational, missional lives of believers. Wes is highly motivated to inspire and instigate change in the minds and hearts of believers, calling them to live as Christ intended in their communities.

He has a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership as well as a B.S. in Bible. Wes has been involved in pastoral ministry for close to 20 years and has taught at every level from pre-school through adult learning, inside and outside the church. He currently works with TAI, Inc. as a leadership consultant and team trainer.

Wes will celebrate 14 years of marriage with his wife Karen this year. Together, they have three children (two boys and a girl), Dakota (9), Kadin (7) and Kasey (3). As a family, the Coddington’s enjoy being outdoors, snowmobiling, computer games, reading riding bikes and cracking jokes.

  Noelle Dong

Noelle is a native New Yorker who was transformed by the Lord while she was attending Cornell University because she had friends who cared enough to share His great love. She is currently a member of Long Island Abundant Life Church where she has served in various ministries including youth, Sunday School, and many retreat committees. Noelle has worked for nearly 10 years in public relations in the education and nonprofit sectors, and currently for a well-known children's entertainment company. She also helps out on the PR front with Running Roots, a New York-based ministry that encourages interchurch fellowship and supports outreach ministries. In past years, she has given workshops at TECBC and NYSC and spoken on panels at the Campus Crusade EPIC conference and at her alma mater. Some other random stuff: She loves the NY Times, telling stories, the beach and meeting people; her former intern told her that she was the first Chinese person that she met that doesn't know how to speak chinese and then taught her how to count to ten; and she is currently exploring Twitter.

  Marianne Lin

Marianne was born in Taiwan, immigrated to the United States with her family in 1983, and settled in California. In 1990 her family moved to the Big Apple. She graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo High School and SUNY Stony Brook. Before going to seminary she worked for two years at a retouching firm, in the accounting department. She graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2001, and has been serving as the English Ministry pastor at Taiwan Union Christian Church in Astoria, Queens, New York, since September, 2001. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, reading Harry Potter books, and talking with friends, whether in person or on the phone. She also enjoys having one-on-one conversations with young people and welcomes questions about faith, life, and boys.

  Peter Ong

Peter Ong grew up in Queens as a child of immigrant parents. He is an Associate Director of PaLM and is developing a Laity project to equip and serve Asian American leadership through fellowship, training and mentoring. Peter served with the Chinese Christian Herald Crusades' Herald Youth Center.

He attended New York University and worked in the Asian American non-profit sector for five years before being called to full-time youth ministry. While attending Redeemer Presbyterian, Peter served on the Board of Directors for Hope for New York, a mercy and justice ministry. He has also served as an advisor to the Teen Eastern Chinese Bible Conference; former volunteer staff at NYU Intervarsity Asian American Christian Fellowship; youth pastoral committee for The Call NYC and also one of the first forming committees for the Coalition of Urban Youth Workers.

In 2005 he served as a liaison to the Billy Graham Crusades of Greater New York, working with community churches to reach local youth. He regularly preaches at churches, youth conferences and to himself in front of a mirror. Peter Ong is happily married to Jamie Ong on August 13th, 2005 on the "hottest day of the century." They love hiking, cooking and eating. They live in the Lower East Side. They welcomed their precious little son, Nicolas in September 2008.

In addition to working in ministry, Peter has published reviews on graphic novels, and comics. His loves: Jesus, Youth (especially chubby ones), being married, Hymns, Dim Sum, mac's, ice cream, sushi, music, books and of course Halo 2. His dislikes: vegetarian hot dogs, cheese, soy milk (he gets bloated), romantic comedies (that seems redundant to me), and sweaty noses. He writes on his blog at peterong.wordpress.com and his aim is at peterdarock. Yes, he has almost 3000 friends on facebook.

  Redd Sevilla

Redd's life was changed by God when he was 15 years old attending high school. Aya life was invaded by the love of Christ after she graduated from college. Amber is 1 year old and raises her hand voluntarily during worship. They have 10 years of youth work experience. Currently, they serve as part of the leadership community at New Life Fellowship in Queens.

Redd's brothers are named Blue, Verde and Gray. Redd believes that the reason for the colors is because his parents are hippies but the parents deny this. Redd and Aya's daughter is named Amber. Aya means "color" in Japanese (at least according to Aya who is not Japanese but wanted to fit into the whole color thing going on). If they have a second child, Redd and Aya are looking for suggestions on what to call him or her. The person that suggests the winning name will have the awesome opportunity of babysitting for Redd and Aya.
